About Hexpit
Hexpit is an independent Android toolbox for developers, sysadmins and homelabbers. It collects the small utilities you reach for while debugging, administering or tinkering, and puts 65 of them in one app that works on your own data, on your own phone.
Why it exists
Quick jobs such as decoding a token, checking a certificate, working out a subnet or probing a port tend to send you to a website that wants your data, or to a pile of single-purpose apps full of ads. Hexpit is the alternative: one app, no account, and no server of ours in the middle.
Who is behind it
One developer. There is no company, no investors, no ad business and no data business behind it. The app is free, with every tool unlocked. It is kept going by voluntary tips, and a tip never changes what the app does.
What Hexpit will not do
- Run a backend that your data passes through.
- Require an account.
- Show ads.
- Add analytics or crash reporting that sends data by default.
- Sell or share your data. It does not have any.
These are the working rules for the project. The precise technical claims, and their limits, are on the Telemetry: zero page.
What it covers
The tools are grouped as Network, DNS and domains, HTTP and TLS, Encoders, Data formats, Crypto and secrets, SIM and cards, Converters and time, Documents, Text and regex, and Device sensors. See the full list.
Requirements
